Education 2010: Comparing performance across Australia

Education 2010: Comparing performance across Australia is the council’s third annual report on the performance of governments under the National Education Agreement.

With at least three years of data for most indicators, this year’s report focuses on the key outcomes relevant to achieving COAG’s overall objective—reporting change in performance over time.

This report was submitted to COAG on 30 September 2011, and publicly released on 10 November 2011.

National Partnership Agreement on Literacy and Numeracy: Performance report for 2010

This is COAG Reform Council's first report on the National Partnership Agreement on Literacy and Numeracy, providing an assessment of achievement against targets agreed between the Commonwealth, and the States and Territories.

This report was submitted to COAG on 25 March 2011, and publicly released on 19 April 2011.

On 28 June 2011, the Minister for School Education, Early Childhood and Youth announced that the Commonwealth would allocate $138 million in reward payments to States and Territories for meeting targets under this National Partnership.

National Education Agreement: Performance report for 2009

The COAG Reform Council's National Education Agreement: Performance report for 2009 is the council's second report on this National Agreement. This report focuses on governments' progress against the agreed objective and outcomes compared to the baseline performance report for 2008.

This report was submitted to COAG on 30 September 2010, and publicly released on 22 October 2010.

COAG publicly responded to this report at its 19 August 2011 meeting. COAG's response can be found on the COAG website.

National Education Agreement: Baseline performance report for 2008

This is the council's first report on the National Education Agreement. This report was submitted to COAG on 30 September 2009, and publicly released on 5 November 2009.

This report was considered by COAG at its 7 December 2009 meeting. COAG's response to the report can be found on the COAG website.

The council’s National Agreement on Skills and Workforce Development: Baseline performance report for 2008—released at the same time—is a complementary report, presenting the baseline data for performance against outcomes for the vocational education and training sector.
