Education 2011: Comparing performance across Australia
This report finds that education outcomes for secondary school students have not improved since 2008. There was little change in literacy and numeracy results and to levels of Australian students completing Year 12. More needs to be done to increase the number of young people successfully moving from school to work or further study. However, there have been improvements in literacy and numeracy results for primary school students.
National Partnership Agreement on Literacy and Numeracy: Performance report for 2011
This National Partnership is focused on delivering sustained improvement in reading and numeracy for students who had fallen behind.
In our final report on the $540 million five-year Literacy and Numeracy National Partnership, we were pleased to see improvements in most measures of reading and numeracy from 2008 to 2011. We were also pleased to see strong results for our Indigenous students.
